The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office made two additional arrests on Monday in the murder of Jose Luis Alejo Tamayo, of Chehalis. Alejo-Tamayo was found deceased on the side of 12th Ave NE on April 25.

The additional suspects are a 38-year old male who was arrested for 1st Degree Murder and a 32–year old female who was arrested for 1st Degree Rendering Criminal Assistance. This brings the total number of arrests in this homicide case, so far, to four.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office says that additional search warrants will likely be served and additional arrests may be made in the investigation of this homicide. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Detective Reynolds or Detective Hiles with the TCSO.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests in the murder of 37-year old Chehalis man Jose Luis Alejo Tamayo.

Alejo-Tamayo was found deceased on the side of the road by a jogger early Sunday morning, on 12th Ave NE west of South Bay Road. Detectives responded and confirmed that he died of a gunshot wound.

Earlier this week, detectives put out an attempt to locate on a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis that they believed to be involved in the homicide. On Wednesday, that vehicle was located in the 1500 block of 38th Lane NE. Detectives seized the vehicle as evidence and arrested a 30-year old woman on suspicion of 1st Degree Rendering Criminal Assistance.

Detectives say additional information then led them to an address in the 3300 block of Martin Way E where a 37-year old woman was arrested on suspicion of 1st Degree Murder. Both women have been booked into the county jail and are expected to appear in court either Thursday or Friday.

The case continues to be investigated and anyone with information should contact the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.
