ICYMI: First fall storm of the year hits tomorrow

Fall began at 6:30 on Tuesday morning, and it will waste no time making its presence known in our area.

The National Weather Service says r ain and wind will pick up overnight tonight and continue Wednesday. The Olympia area should expect an 1-1.5″ of rain and 20-25 mph wind gusts throughout the day.

Following the storm Wednesday, a series of smaller and less-impactful storms will follow through the weekend, with an additional possibility of thunderstorms, especially on Thursday.

Next week should be dry, with temperatures in the 70s possible – maybe this will be one last whiff of summer before we head into October.
