Deputies arrest drug dealer for homicide after man overdoses, dies

A 50-year-old Lacey woman is behind bars after she allegedly sold fentanyl to a 32-year old man who later overdosed on the drug and died.

Thurston County Sheriff’s deputies responded with medics on October 7th, 2020 to a residence in the 8500 block of Steilacoom Rd SE after it was reported that a 32-year-old man had overdosed on fentanyl.

Medics attempted live-saving measures, but died at the scene, according to a press release from Acting Lieutenant Cameron Simper of the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

On November 25th, Deputies arrested the woman after a “thorough investigation” revealed that she had sold the drugs to the man. She has been identified as Michele L. Hylton, 50, of Lacey, according to jail records. She is being held on a charge of homicide by controlled substance.
