A 47-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of 2nd Degree Murder after she allegedly stabbed her mom to death outside of Olympia on Friday.

Deputies and medics were dispatched to a residence in the 5000 block of Sleater Kinney Rd NE after a woman called 911 to report that her 72-year-old mother was injured and bleeding, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

The 72-year-old mother was found to be deceased from multiple stab wounds, and the victim and her daughter were the only ones in the residence at the time of the incident, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the incident.
